2005 Palacios Remondo Rioja Propiedad
The Palacios Remondo winery is located in the eastern portion of one of Spain's oldest and best known wine making regions, Rioja. The estate's flagship wine, Propiedad, is made from a blend of the indigenous Spanish grape varietals Garnacha and, true to its name, it is the finest expression of the vineyards on the Palacios Remondo property, or "propiedad." In the nose it is dense and succulent, with aroma of spices, softly charred oak and sweet flowers from the Rioja region. On the palate, the wine has purity and balance with hints of ripe forest berries, blood orange rind, fresh cherries, slight creamy notes and toasted oak. Robert Parker: 91 points.

2007 Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon
The balanced 2007 growing season allowed for even ripening throughout each of the Joseph Phelps Cabernet vineyards. Early in the fermentation the berries revealed concentrated fruit forward flavors and excellent color indicating the high quality of the 2007 vintage. The wine is deeply pigmented and has aromatics of perfectly ripe blackberries, plum, notes of dark chocolate, licorice and spice. The palate is refined and has exceptional texture and length.
