JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. T1D is an autoimmune disease in which the person's pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food. JDRF's goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people's lives until we have achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence and working plan to better treat, prevent and eventually cure T1D.
Fund a Cure is a unique opportunity to make a 100% tax deductible donation to JDRF that will fund vital research to cure, better treat and prevent T1D. Since 1994, JDRF has raised more than $211 million through Fund A Cure alone.
